About Dr Jo Righetti
Dr Jo Righetti is a PhD Animal Behaviourist, helping people understand pets. She has qualification in zoology and animal behaviour. Dr Jo also has a diploma in counselling, as although this is PET problems solved, it is often people we are helping.
Jo has written several books about dog and cat behaviour and has been proud to be an Ambassador of many organisations including: Animal Welfare League Australia; Australian Companion Animal Rescue Awards; Assistance Dogs: Nestle Purina.

Dr Jo was an Ambassador and consultant to Nestle Purina Australia for 15 years. This involved live appearances at events and social media and writing pet articles for Purina.
Jo has also been an advisor for many other commercial pet companies.
Government
Jo has worked with local councils all around Australia, educating pet owners and staff members about pet issues such as:
– Barking dogs
– Staying safe around dogs
– Pets in apartments
Pet owners and vet clinics
Jo has worked with vet clinic clients on referral from vets. Jo sees clients in the clinic or on home visits and also helps vet staff understand pet behaviour problems.
Universities
Jo has taught at Universities around Australia, on courses such as Animal Behaviour and Welfare and Working Canines. Jo also helps set exam papers and marking assignments and exams.
Media
Jo has worked with media for over 25 years. A regular guest on radio programs, answering listener pet behaviour questions, Jo has also had her own radio show Talking Pets. She has also had numerous appearances on TV shows, including a regular slot on Talk to the Animals. Jo also writes for various lifestyle magazines.
