At Pet Problems Solved, we are not big fans of putting pets in strollers. Dogs and cats have 4 legs and need to use them. There are, however, times that wheeling a pet around may be a sensible option. Here, Robert Walker tells us when we could – or should – use a pet stroller…

WHEN COULD - OR SHOULD - YOU USE A PET STROLLER?

Crowded occasions
Attempting to restrain your pet on a leash in a crowd of folks is not easy.  It’s hard to prevent your pet from becoming wrapped around somebody legs or immediately devouring food or the garbage it strikes on the floor. With your pet in a stroller, you are not going to need to fret about such challenges and you can take your furry friend to different places with you. This may be especially useful in areas where urban traffic is high or where you need to control or confine them.

Veterinary visits
Pet strollers are fantastic for transporting your dog or cat. You won’t need to be worried about guarding your pet against other animals which are aggressive, tired and ill or coaxing pet. There is no need to get worried about your pet picking out all types of germs and drifting across the office.

Hot and rough grounds
When it is hot, concrete may burn your pet’s paws. Junk on street or the sidewalk can harm your pet’s feet. A puppy stroller protects your pet’s paws.

Aged or injured pets
Older or injured pets that can’t walk or can walk shorter distances will appreciate a helping stroll They need sunlight and clean air, as people do. Dog strollers are fantastic for getting your pet the outdoor diversion that it deserves and wants.

Instead of a pet carriers
Soe environments require you to lift your pet off the floor e.g. crossing communal areas of some apartment buildings. Instead of lifting your pet or using a pet carrier, you can use a stroller. Far easier than lugging a cat or dog crate!

Protection against aggressive dogs
When your pet is in a stroller, you do not need to be worried about it interacting with any dangerous creatures. A stroller will protect your pet from those harsh animals outside that are not on a leash, should you live in an area where you regularly encounter these.

Quality time with your pet
Whenever you’ve got a stroller, it is easier to talk to your pet. Most cats do not enjoy walking on a leash unless they’re trained to use them. Cat strollers are an excellent way to spend time while you both get some fresh air.

Puppies and kittens
Newborn, young or very small puppies and kittens cannot walk as great a distance as order pets can. Strollers and pet prams can enable you to get your pets outdoors while remaining protected.

Having a rest
If you like to walk or run for long distances and your pet cannot keep up, then a stroller may give them a rest.
